Composition

About:

Composition is something Harvey would like to explore in the next phase of his musical career. He has been writing his own music since he was 15, as part of GCSE/A Level studies, as well as beyond his years in education, in his own time. He has written and released music over the last couple of years, and although admits he doesn't have a wealth of experience in this area, he would  love to build up a repetoire of work of various styles and develop his existing skills by working on paid commissions and briefs.

As he is relatively new to this form of work, he is willing to work for a reduced rate, to allow him to gain crutial experience whilst making his services affordable to the customer. 

Learning Composition:

Harvey feels the art of composition is a great way for anyone to express themselves within music, and think's it is a great skill for musicians to try and develop, whether they have tried before or not. 

Harvey has worked closely with students during his experience as an A Level music Technology teacher, and feels the basics of composition can be easily learnt with some attention and practise. Over his time teaching, he has discovered the 1-1 environment can often encourage better practise and consequently a faster rate of learning.

He therefore would like to offer his assistance to anyone looking to learn the basics of composition (working towards skills required for the GCSE syllabus specifically), which could be students struggling to understand the practical elements of composition, or seeking support in understanding the different areas of composition as a subject. This is also aimed at musicians who would like to learn and develop composition and songwriting skills, of any age. 

As he only has limited experience in this subject, Harvey would offer this service at a reduced rate to his other 1-1 tuition work.
